Where / What is North-Sulawesi ?

Sulawesi Celebes is one of the main big, 'continent like' islands in Indonesia and is located between Kalimantan (former Borneo) and the Mollucs. Overall, it is just a little bit smaller than the UK.
- From the most northern point to the most southern point, it measures approx. 2000 km. 4 provinces can be identified: South, Central, Southeast and North-Sulawesi. Due to its odd shape it has more coastline then mainland, than any other Indonesian Island.
Where / What is Manado?
- Manado is a city of about 450.000 citizens, located in the North of Sulawesi (the former Celebes), in Indonesia. Bordering one side, the Celebes Sea with Bunaken marine park and on the other side beautiful green grown highlands and towering volcano's, Manado offers one of the most prosperous and spectacularly scenic area's in Indonesia.
